Hex Nipples

SIYelectric Stainless Steel Hex Nipples are designed to connect two female-threaded components in industrial piping, pressure instrumentation, fluid control, and gas systems.

A hex nipple has male threads on both ends and a hexagonal section in the middle for wrench tightening. This structure makes it useful for connecting valves, fittings, pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, manifolds, pipe adapters, and equipment ports in a compact and reliable way.

Manufactured from stainless steel, the fitting provides good corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and sealing reliability when properly matched with the correct thread type, sealing material, and pressure rating.

Key Functions

Male-to-Male Threaded Connection

The hex nipple connects two compatible female-threaded components in a straight line. It is commonly used for joining pipe fittings, valves, instrument ports, and process connections.

Easy Installation and Removal

The hexagonal middle section provides a practical wrench surface, making installation, tightening, disassembly, and replacement more convenient.

Compact Connection Extension

A hex nipple can also be used as a short extension piece when an instrument, valve, or fitting needs to be moved slightly away from the process port.

Compatible Instruments and Components

This stainless steel hex nipple can be used with:

  • Pressure transmitters
  • Pressure gauges
  • Pressure switches
  • Gauge valves
  • Needle valves
  • Ball valves
  • Instrument manifolds
  • Female adapters and couplings
  • Calibration and test ports
  • Sampling lines
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control panels

For pressure measurement assemblies, hex nipples are often used to connect pressure gauges or transmitters with gauge valves, manifolds, extension fittings, or female-threaded process connections.

Typical Applications

Pressure Instrument Installation

Used in pressure gauge, pressure switch, and pressure transmitter installations where a male-to-male threaded connector is required.

Valve and Manifold Assemblies

Suitable for connecting gauge valves, needle valves, ball valves, block valves, and instrument manifolds to threaded fittings or process ports.

Sampling and Calibration Lines

Applied in sampling systems, calibration ports, pressure test lines, laboratory test benches, and analyzer panels where compact threaded connections are needed.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems

Used in hydraulic power units, pneumatic control panels, actuator lines, gas panels, and auxiliary fluid control equipment.

Industrial Fluid and Gas Systems

Suitable for compatible water, oil, gas, steam, chemicals, and utility media. Material, thread type, sealing method, and pressure rating should be selected according to the actual process conditions.

Advantages

  • Male-to-male threaded design connects two female-threaded components securely.
  • Hexagonal center section allows easy wrench tightening and removal.
  • Stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
  • Suitable for pressure instruments, valves, manifolds, fittings, and process connections.
  • Compact structure supports installation in panels, skids, and limited spaces.
  • Useful for instrument connection, threaded adaptation, short extension, and maintenance replacement.
  • Applicable to fluid, gas, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, and industrial process systems.
  • Thread standard, length, material, and pressure rating options can be selected according to site requirements.
