Reducer Elbows

SIYelectric Reducer Elbows are designed to connect two pipes, tubes, fittings, or equipment ports of different sizes while changing the pipeline direction at the same time.

Unlike a standard elbow with the same diameter on both ends, a reducer elbow combines size transition and angle connection in one compact fitting. It is useful when the piping system needs to turn direction and connect from a larger line to a smaller line, or from a smaller line to a larger line, without using multiple separate fittings.

With suitable material, sealing structure, thread standard, and pressure rating selection, reducer elbows can be used in instrument tubing, hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, gas panels, process skids, pressure measurement assemblies, and industrial fluid systems.

Key Functions

Size Transition

The reducer elbow connects two different pipe or tube sizes, helping the system transition between different diameters while maintaining a secure connection.

Direction Change

The elbow structure changes the pipeline direction, usually at an angled connection point, helping improve layout flexibility in compact installations.

Space-Saving Installation

By combining reducing and elbow functions into one fitting, it can reduce the number of separate adapters and elbows needed in the system.

Compatible Instruments and Components

This reducer elbow can be used with:

  • Pressure transmitters
  • Differential pressure transmitter impulse lines
  • Pressure gauges
  • Pressure switches
  • Gauge valves
  • Needle valves
  • Ball valves
  • Instrument manifolds
  • Sampling lines
  • Analyzer systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control panels
  • Process skids and equipment assemblies

For pressure instrument installations, reducer elbows are often used when the instrument port, valve connection, manifold connection, or tubing size does not match the process pipe size directly.

Typical Applications

Instrument Tubing and Pressure Measurement Lines

Used in pressure transmitter and gauge installations where the tubing size or thread size needs to be reduced while also changing the connection direction.

Analyzer and Sampling Systems

Suitable for gas sampling lines, liquid sampling systems, analyzer panels, and laboratory test setups where different tube sizes must be connected in compact layouts.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems

Applied in hydraulic power units, pneumatic panels, actuator lines, and compact equipment assemblies where pipe size transition and angled routing are required.

Process Skids and Equipment Panels

Used in dosing skids, filtration units, gas panels, process modules, and control panels where limited space requires a compact reducing elbow connection.

Industrial Fluid and Gas Systems

Suitable for compatible water, oil, gas, steam, chemicals, and utility media. Material, connection type, sealing method, and pressure rating should be selected according to actual operating conditions.

Advantages

  • Reducer elbow design combines size transition and angled connection in one fitting.
  • Connects different pipe or tube sizes without requiring multiple separate fittings.
  • Helps simplify compact piping layouts in panels, skids, and equipment assemblies.
  • Suitable for pressure instruments, valves, manifolds, sampling lines, and process tubing.
  • Supports fluid, gas, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, and industrial process systems.
  • Can help reduce installation space and potential leakage points when properly selected.
  • Material, size, thread, sealing, and pressure rating options can be selected according to site requirements.
