Weld Connectors Product Overview

SIYelectric Weld Connectors are designed to connect tubing systems to welded process connections in instrumentation, fluid, gas, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial process applications.

Unlike a threaded connector, a weld connector provides a more permanent connection to the pipeline, equipment, or process port. One side is typically designed for tube fitting connection, while the other side is prepared for welding to a pipe, vessel, skid, panel, or process system. This structure is useful where a secure connection, compact layout, and reduced threaded leakage points are required.

Weld connectors are commonly used in pressure measurement lines, sampling systems, analyzer panels, hydraulic systems, gas systems, chemical skids, and high-pressure process equipment.

How It Works

Part / FunctionDescription
Tube fitting sideConnects and seals instrumentation tubing
Weld endWelded to a pipe, vessel, equipment port, or process connection
Ferrule structureProvides tube gripping and sealing on the tubing side
Welded connectionProvides a strong permanent connection with fewer threaded joints

Compatible Instruments and Components

This weld connector can be used with:

  • Pressure transmitters
  • Differential pressure transmitter impulse lines
  • Pressure gauges
  • Pressure switches
  • Gauge valves
  • Needle valves
  • Ball valves
  • Instrument manifolds
  • Sampling lines
  • Analyzer systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control panels
  • Process skids and equipment assemblies

For pressure transmitter installations, weld connectors are often used where instrument tubing needs to connect to a welded process tapping point, manifold assembly, gauge valve, or process skid.

Typical Application Scenarios

1. Pressure Measurement Connections

Used in pressure transmitter, differential pressure transmitter, pressure gauge, and pressure switch installations where tubing needs to connect to a welded process connection.

Typical examples include:

  • Pressure transmitter impulse lines
  • Differential pressure transmitter tubing
  • Gauge valve inlet or outlet connections
  • Manifold process connections
  • Calibration and test tubing

2. Sampling and Analyzer Systems

Suitable for gas sampling lines, liquid sampling systems, analyzer cabinets, and laboratory systems where welded process connections are preferred for stability and leak reduction.

Common use cases include:

  • Analyzer sample inlet lines
  • Calibration gas systems
  • Process sample extraction points
  • Laboratory test loops
  • Process monitoring skids

3. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Lines

Applied in hydraulic power units, pneumatic panels, actuator control circuits, pressure test systems, and compact machinery assemblies where tubing must be connected to a welded port or equipment body.

4. Process Skids and Equipment Assemblies

Used in chemical dosing skids, filtration systems, gas panels, water treatment modules, and industrial process equipment where welded connections help improve mechanical strength and reduce the number of threaded joints.

5. High-Pressure or High-Temperature Systems

Suitable for demanding systems involving high pressure, high temperature, vibration, or hazardous media. Material grade, weld specification, sealing method, and pressure rating should be confirmed according to actual operating conditions.

Key Benefits

FeatureBenefit
Weld connector designProvides a strong and permanent process connection
Tube fitting sideAllows secure connection to instrumentation tubing
Reduced threaded jointsHelps lower potential leakage points
Compact structureSuitable for panels, skids, cabinets, and limited spaces
Reliable sealingSupports stable tube connection under proper installation
Stainless steel optionProvides corrosion resistance and mechanical strength
Wide compatibilitySuitable for instruments, valves, manifolds, sampling lines, and control systems

Selection Notes

Before selecting weld connectors, confirm:

  • Tube outside diameter
  • Weld end size and type
  • Material grade, such as SS304 or SS316
  • Working pressure
  • Working temperature
  • Process medium
  • Welding procedure or site welding requirements
  • Required sealing structure
  • Whether the connector is used for instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, analyzer, or process piping

Correct selection helps ensure reliable welding quality, tube sealing, pressure performance, and long-term service life.

Main Advantages

  • Provides a reliable transition from tubing to welded process connection.
  • Suitable for pressure transmitters, DP transmitters, gauges, manifolds, valves, sampling systems, and analyzer panels.
  • Helps reduce the number of threaded connections in critical process systems.
  • Useful for high-pressure, high-temperature, vibration, and demanding industrial applications.
  • Stainless steel options support corrosion resistance and long-term operation.
  • Available in different tube sizes, weld end dimensions, materials, and pressure ratings according to project requirements.
