Male to Female Thread 1/2″ NPT Lagging Extension Body Gauge Valve

The SIYelectric Stainless Steel Male to Female Thread 1/2″ NPT Lagging Extension Body Gauge Valve is designed for pressure instrument isolation, venting, calibration, and maintenance in industrial process lines.

It is commonly installed between the process connection and a pressure gauge, pressure switch, pressure transmitter, or pressure monitoring device. The valve allows operators to isolate the instrument from the process line, release trapped pressure, and remove or calibrate the instrument more safely without interrupting the main process.

The lagging extension body provides extra installation length, making it suitable for insulated pipelines, high-temperature lines, or applications where the pressure instrument needs to be extended away from the pipe surface for easier access and visibility.


Product Description

The lagging extension body gauge valve can be designed with multiple outlet ports, such as side, top, or front connections, in addition to the main process connection. These ports can be used for:

  • connecting a pressure gauge and transmitter at the same measuring point
  • calibration and test connections
  • venting or pressure release
  • pressure indication and pressure signal transmission
  • installation in pressure panels, manifolds, and instrument assemblies

This type of gauge valve is suitable for applications where one process pressure point needs to support more than one instrument or where maintenance access is limited by pipe insulation or installation space.
