Stainless Steel Instrument Sunshade for Outdoor Field Instruments

A stainless steel instrument sunshade is a practical protective accessory for outdoor field instruments. It is usually made from 304 or 316 stainless steel sheet and installed above or around the instrument to reduce direct sunlight, block rainwater impact and provide basic external protection.

In many industrial sites, instruments are installed in tank farms, outdoor pipelines, platforms, open-air equipment areas or field monitoring points. Even when the instrument itself has an IP65, IP66 or IP67 enclosure rating, long-term exposure to sunlight, rain, dust and temperature changes may still cause display reflection, housing temperature rise, nameplate aging, cable entry risks and additional maintenance problems.
